Coopfm.org is the firstofits kind in South Africa established in consideration ofthisprinciple and to help stakeholders within the subsector toexercisethis principle to the fullest.To this end the station intends providing a platform calledtheCo-operative FM (Coopfm). A social enterpriseco-operativededicated to the co-operative subsector of the economyfor theinformation, education and training in the subsector. Inaddition,it aims at carrying the voices within the co-operativemovement inSouth Africa to the Co-operative Community and to thesociety ingeneral.It intends to present the views, progress, success stories aswellas the challenges of the co-operative sector to thestakeholders.In particular, the organisation aims at broadcasting,entertaining,informing and educating members within the sector forsocial andeconomic change that will bring relief to the majority ofthepeople in South Africa.It is the mission of this organisation to provide latestinformationwithin the subsector to the co-operative community.This may relateto the legislative framework, management andgovernance as well asthe best practices within thesubsector.It is part of this noble object to showcase the successstorieswithin the subsector so as to inspire, motivate andencouragemembers within the sector to pursue the goals of theirco-operativewith great deal of passion and determination.
